FinCom Inbox  -  Inbox

• Email is offline.  Messages sent to Troy re malfunction.  Deferred to next meeting.  

 

Access to restricted accounts

Kathy needs to be able to do reconciliations on GSheets.  May cut down on Kristi’s work.  

Elisa tried to contact one account holder but he’s on holiday.  Hopes to make contact soon.  

 

Should we grant restricted access on a members request, on principle?  

• Kathy already has Bendigo access.  Restricted access is merely a nuisance and a delay.  
• Receipts are a privacy issue.  Committees should be able to see what’s happened to budgets they’ve approved.
• Understandable members wouldn’t want to broadcast account info in current culture.  Things get weaponised.
• We should have a culture that accommodates member requests where possible.
• Doesn’t our code of conduct mean we should be trusted now?
• Shouldn’t break our agreements without at least giving notice of our decision.  

 

Action: Elisa to contact the two cardholders concerned and explain FinCom’s wish to remove access restrictions on their accounts.  If contact is not made, restrictions will be removed at next meeting.  

 

Terms of Reference

Where are we at?

• Nobody’s looked at it recently.
• Not sure where to find the document.

Action: Robin to post link to current ToR into FinCom Messenger chat.  

 

Record Keeping

Would be good to have a common place for official FinCom documents, with FinCom ownership of them.  At the moment, they’re mostly Google Docs shared from personal accounts.  

 

Sharepoint hasn’t been taken up as much as it deserves.  A Google FinCom account might be a good idea.  Credentialed access is important.  

 

For now, Kathy suggests we post links to documents here in Crew Notes.  

 

Robin is developing a platform for accessing documents for all DTE committees, at dte.coop

 

FinCom Code of Conduct access 

OC requests that we make our code of conduct read-accessible for everyone.  Done in meeting.  Code of Conduct is now readable by anyone with the link.  FinCom Code of Conduct

 

Induction of Volunteers

DTE.coop will be a big part of future volunteer induction.  Needs to be easy to use.
