I have some experience with ConFest and have a Grad Dip in OH&S with some years of experience in the area.
I was interested in discussion, last night, of the proposed purchase of storage units for fuel, oil and gas.
I don’t have an opinion on these purchases, one way or the other, but elements of the discussion led me to feel that there may be a need to rationalise fuel storage and handling at DTE events and on DTE properties.
I will deal with this by sponsoring a motion to the OC Committee, if this is warranted. I am sure, however, that there has been consideration of these matters over time and that DTE takes safety seriously.
It would be of help if you could advise of any audits that have been done and of current procedures in the event of fire emergencies on site.
