Existing Signatories

If the new signatory/ies are already Bank Australia customers, it is simple. You just need to provide their customer number in the signatory application non-personal accounts form, signed by all parties. Otherwise you need to follow the below instructions.

For each new Bank Australia customer or signatory

Under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cwth) we must verify an individual’s identity before we provide them with services and products. So, when someone applies to be a customer or signatory of Bank Australia each signatory must be identified.

All you need is a valid Australian drivers licence or passport and then go to http://bankaust.com.au/support/online-verification-form. When completing this application please enter the name of the person whose account you are becoming a signatory to, in the Bank Australia contact section.

Alternatively, if you cannot complete this online you can provide the following;

  • one document from the category A list OR
  • one document from the category B list and one document from the category C list OR
  • one document from the category D list and one document from either the category B or category C list.

For information on what makes up a category A, B, C or D document, Please refer to the certification form.

Please return the identification documents in person to one of our branches. If you cannot, you will need to provide your identification documents to a certifier and send us the certified copies.

The certifier must complete the certification form and certify copies of the identification that you show them. The form explains who can be a certifier and how to certify documents.

What you’ll need to return to Bank Australia

Once you have completed this identification process, we need you to complete and return the following documents to us

  • certified copies of the identification (if not providing your identification in person at one of our branches)
