I was lucky enough to be able to pick up two old school solid steel cabinets with roller doors through Facebook Marketplace while in Sydney , also one of my clients was letting go of some large shelving and solid brackets from his garage and a cabinet from his laundry  . The Aldi stars also aligned with the project having a range of adjustable wrenches , self adjusting wrench , O-ring sets and magnetic strips to hold the tools .

So this June 2022 working bee I set my sights on creating a proper workshop space in the vehicle shelter to support Asset Management in maintenance of the vehicle and also reduce the hazard of extension cords running everywhere .

Photo 1 :- Previously with the support of Andrew I had run a four core 6mm Orange cable underground from the main sub board .

So as to reduce the voltage drop I paired up two 6mm cables for the active and neutral wiring up an old weatherproof switchboard that I had taken off the ticket office , with three new 20 Amp leakage circuit breakers ( The cover is only missing for the photo ) . I also ran an earth wire to earth the container just below the switchboard .

Photo 2 & 3 :- The extra switch on the weatherproof double power point is for the vehicle shelter string of lights with no lamp greater than 40 Watts and the piggy back plug is for the lights inside the container called Peter .

Photo 4 & 5 :- A new workspace area on the side of the container called Peter . From right to left I've hung a 6 foot double sided aluminium ladder next a wooden cabinet stepped off from the container so that if water runs down the container wall it won't destroy the cabinet under which are a pair of yellow almost brand new second-hand car ramps that I bought for $ 55 in Sydney .

The centre of the workshop area is defined by a yellow stripe down the container with three large shelves above followed by three magnetic strips to hold tools as shown ( from Aldi ) and a double weatherproof powerpoint with an extra switch to turn on 3 LED light fittings and below two steel cabinets with roller shutter doors resting on two 2.4 metre concrete sleepers from Swan Hill .

Next is a steel shelving unit which was on the scrapheap at Byland , that I rescued and brought back , re-riveted , panel beat it and cleaned it up before mounting it on the wall . There is also another weatherproof double power point where the two containers meet .

Photo 6 :- At the end of the vehicle shelter there is a weatherproof double 15 amp power point on its own 6 mm circuit so as to reduce voltage drop that can possibly be used when welding .

At the very end there is a standard weatherproof double power point with extra switch for lights to plug into a plug base at a later time and I also ran an earth wire to earth the 40 foot container just below the this power point .
