Yesterday, with the permission from those onsite I drove to Woorooma and delivered 600 seedlings that Ray Higgins had been growing for this year's tree planting weekend. 600 is a big number for 8 volunteers all over 60 years old so if they plant 100 I will be happy.
The seedlings will die if not planted and 12 months of effort by Ray would have been wasted. He has held back another 500 which are small enough to hold over until next year. Presently they are protected in Tania greenhouse.
The site by the way looks amazing. Those onsite have kept busy and and done an amazing job of sorting, cleaning and caring for our property. The vegie gardens are awesome.
If there are people that feel an urgent need to plant trees (fastest way to remediate climate change) perhaps contact the guys on site and organise a trip. There is room for social distancing. I myself spent less than 10 minutes in the cottage, hugged minimally (and got tested before I went up So I knew I was clean of covid).
Anyway.... the year I have it sorted to be funds free for DTE is the year I needed it to be....
Love all you guys and I hope you are all finding light in these days...
Rainbows and unicorns.
